Eyam, a village in Derbyshire, was also badly affected by the Great Plague of 1665 even though the disease is most associated with its impact on London. In September 2010, Prince William completed his training as an RAF search and rescue pilot. He found the training difficult and had to fly during the day and night, in all weather conditions, over land and sea. During his training he took part in several practice rescue missions over the Irish Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and in the mountains of Snowdonia, Wales. He is now based at RAF Valley on Anglesey, off the coast of Wales. He is working in a team of four men, flying a Sea King helicopter. The children were asked to write an imaginative story about a rescue mission involving Prince William. Sit back and enjoy Phoebe's story...
